The Greek Dip Of 2012
Posted 3 days agoFollowing some rather large dips in 2011 as a result of Greece's debt crisis, the Australian sharemarket had another helping this week. The All Ordinaries fell 2.35% today, after a fall of almost 1% yesterday, amid Greek political uncertainty.

European Bank Stocks
Posted 3 days agoThe Euro Stoxx bank index, a sector-based sub-index of Euro Stoxx for banks within the European Monetary Union, has fallen from 2009 peaks to well below its 1991 starting value of 100, with a most recent close of 85.27.

Doppio Depressione
Posted 3 days agoThe real GDP of the euro zone, expressed as a re-based index where the first quarter of 2008 is 100, remains well below levels then for most countries. While Germany has seen some growth since 2011, Italy lags well behind the euro area as a whole, and is on the way down again for a double shot of economic Depression after the GFC.
